Accommodation
There are heaps of accommodation options for festival goers - we have just had approval for a festival campsite, there is a billeting forum on our website with lots of space available, and there is of course free camping and other more expensive accommodation options around the mountain's outlined at the bottom of this page!
THE FESTIVAL CAMPSITE!
We have finally succeeded in organising a Festival Campsite after a mammoth process including doing a development
application! The campsite is a ten-minute walk from the festival so now you can stumble back to your tent after a
huge day of festivities! It is located on the Katoomba Public School Oval, Waratah st, Katoomba. The campsite is
only open to festival-goers so it will be an awesome climbers campground. There are obviously limited numbers so
get in early if you really want to camp there.
Dates and hours of campsite:
Friday 6th April after 3.30pm until Monday 9th April before 11.00am.
Cost and Bookings:
$20 per person for the whole weekend (up to 3 nights) - this is to
cover the costs associated with running the campground. For camping tickets please make your way to the campsite located
at the Katoomba Public School Oval, Waratah st, Katoomba (see map).
Facilities and Staff:
The campsite will have toilets, water & bins (no showers at campground
however the festival venue has showers which you can use at any time
during the day at the event..cold showers will be free, hot showers
will cost $4 as you will have to gain access to the indoor pool area
which is out of the festival grounds...or you can just dirt bag it).
The campsite will be staffed all weekend so this will be a relatively
safe place to leave your tent (we obviously still take no
responsibility for any gear that you leave there).
Campsite Rules:
There are a few rules which we have to stick to (council are going to assess the impact of this campsite closely to
decide if they will let us do it again in 2009). Just wanted to let you know before you book - in booking we assume
you are agreeing to these basic rules.
- No alcohol is allowed in the campsite - this was a condition of DA approval (there are two bars nearby as well as town is only a few blocks away so those wishing to party on after festival hours can easily do so outside the campground). 'No alcohol' is also a condition of our very expensive campsite insurance.
- Noise must be kept to a minimum - again there are plenty of nearby bars to continue on into the wee hours if you wish!
- No open fires.

OTHER ACCOMODATION OPTIONS:
If you don't want to camp then you should get in ASAP to book other accommodation. The Easter long weekend is the busiest
time of year in the Blue Mountains and traditionally ends up being fully booked out. We have put together a full
accommodation list for the Blue Mountains (in price categories) to make it as easy as possible for you to find what
you want. You can access this list by just clicking a link above or by downloading the
PDF or Excel file.
