VOLUNTEERING

Volunteer help is integral to giving the festival a colorful community flavor, as well as hopefully making it possible for the festival to pay for itself so we can make it happen every two years. Leading up to and during the festival we will need coordinators, administrative support and on the ground help to prepare and present the event.

You get
- 1 FULL PASS (2 full days - worth $99).
- To be part of a fun team making an awesome festival happen. We aim to make your experience of being a volunteer a fun, rewarding and memorable one.

In return we expect keen and energetic individuals who share our goals - ie. bringing climbers from around Australia to celebrate life as a climber, inspire, inform, and most of all have fun.

If you are interested in being a volunteer please download and complete the volunteer application form and then email it to us as an attachment

MUSIC

If you are a multi-talented person who is a climber and a musician then this is your opportunity to entertain! We will have a decent PA system set up in the Mad Rock Café, and are planning to have live cruisey music in this area from midday onwards. It will be a low key and relaxed setting so if your style of music suits this setting, then we would love to have you play. If you are interested please send a copy of a CD with your music to the festival office (P.O. Box 215, Mt Nebo, QLD, 4520) and we will do our best to fit you into the program for the weekend.

ART

If you would like to exhibit art for sale or exhibition you must be able to deliver and collect your artwork from the festival. There will be limited space in the gallery so space must be reserved. email Teresa Cause on Art Email

OUR FESTIVAL GOALS

- To inspire and inform climbers from around Australia about all aspects of life as a climber.

- To bring together the climbing community in a relaxed and fun setting where they can make new friends and climbing buddies.

- To build on the collective consciousness of our climbing community.

- To bring together influential and significant climbers from Australia and abroad.

- To create an interactive environment where people can participate as well as observe. e.g. clinics, discussions, fun, competitions and more.

- To showcase the creative talents of the Australian climbing community e.g. photography, painting, short stories, film.

- To create a festival where everyone involved has a great time!

BILLETING

We have made space on the forum for billeting - any climbers (or friendly non-climbers) who live in the mountains can rent out spare rooms or backyard space to visiting climbers for a suggested fee of ($20-/night for a room, $10/night for a tent). Anyone interested in billeting festival goers can post on the forum. This might be a good way to earn back the money spent on your festival pass, meet traveling climbers and help the festival!
